Comfort With Purpose: How BEDGEAR Supports the American Cancer Society

At BEDGEAR, “comfort” isn’t just how our products feel—it’s how our actions show up for people. Our partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS) has been a long-standing commitment, not just a new initiative. For years, we’ve supported the ACS through our Seatbelt Pillow program—originally donating 5% of every Seatbelt Pillow purchase online. Today, we’ve expanded that impact. As we head into Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here’s a look at what we’re doing right now and how we’re committed to supporting patients, caregivers, and communities throughout the year.

October 2025: Give Back While You Shop

• 5% of all pillow sales on BEDGEAR.com in October will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Research.

• New site promotion: Buy two pillows in October and get $49.99 off (the value of a Seatbelt Pillow), and we’ll donate one Seatbelt Pillow to the American Cancer Society.

• In October, BEDGEAR donates one Seatbelt Pillow to the ACS for every pillow fitting completed in participating retail stores—no purchase necessary. In 2024, BEDGEAR completed 1,250 fittings at 75 retail locations, resulting in 1,250 Seatbelt Pillows donated to 25 American Cancer Society Hope Lodges® across the country.

Year-Round: Seatbelt Pillows That Make the Ride Easier

Many patients—especially those who’ve had mastectomies, ports, or chest surgery—need extra protection where a seatbelt crosses the chest. Our Seatbelt Pillow is designed to bring relief on every trip to and from treatment. It’s made with our breathable Air-X® fabric, is easy to fasten with Velcro® clasps, and was created specifically with these needs in mind.

Sometimes the impact goes beyond comfort. One recipient of our Seatbelt Pillow was in a car accident, and the pillow protected her port and prevented serious injury, showing how these products can make a real difference in people’s lives.

Here’s how the program works today:

• For every Seatbelt Pillow sold on BEDGEAR.com, we donate one directly to the ACS. This way, every purchase helps provide comfort to those who need it most, year-round.

• We also support ACS events, including Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks, by donating Seatbelt Pillows to Survivor Tents—spaces that celebrate survivors, families, and friends.

Community Spotlight: Honored at the 2025 Hope Lodge Bash Gala

This spring, our Founder/CEO Eugene Alletto was named the 2025 Honoree at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge Bash Gala at the Rainbow Room in NYC (May 15, 2025). BEDGEAR’s fundraising efforts helped raise nearly $500,000 to support the Hope Lodge Jerome L. Greene Family Center, which provides patients and caregivers free lodging during treatment.
