BEDGEAR Gives Back: Memorial Day is More Than Sales

Memorial Day is a truly significant time to remember and honor the brave men and women who have selflessly served in the United States Armed Forces. It is a time to come together as a nation to pay tribute to their unwavering dedication and honor the sacrifices they and their families have made in service to our country. The profound gratitude we feel for all veterans and active-duty service members cannot be adequately expressed in words, so BEDGEAR turned to action.

This May, Bedgear partnered with America's VetDogs, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs to veterans, first responders, and active-duty service members for emotional and logistical companionship.

Time to Roll Up Our Sleeves

In addition to working directly with the dogs, feeding, bathing, and preparing their Kong treats, the BEDGEAR Foundation donated dog beds, mattresses, mattress protectors, sheets, pillows, and blankets for the on-campus dormitory to outfit sixteen bedrooms. These bedrooms become the home to veterans and first responders for two weeks once they are accepted into America’s VetDogs’ program. Clients travel from all over the country to learn how to work with their new service dog alongside a certified service dog instructor. BEDGEAR’s donation of performance bedding ensures that they will wake ready for full training days.
